About us
ADR Garage Door,
in Ontario since 2013.
We repair and install garage doors across the Greater Toronto Area and Simcoe County. We are small enough that whoever picks up the phone knows the technician who will turn up.
Open seven days, 7:30 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.
Who We Are
ADR started in 2013 as a family business doing garage door repairs across York Region. Word travelled, the work spread south into Toronto and Peel and north past Newmarket, and eventually the drive to Simcoe County stopped making sense as a day trip. So we opened a second shop in Barrie.
Today there are eight of us and four service vans. The Richmond Hill shop covers the GTA; the Barrie shop covers Simcoe County. Both run the same hours, the same pricing and the same technicians — the split is about drive time, not about two different companies.
We have stayed deliberately small. Eight people is enough to answer the phone properly, keep parts on every van and send someone the same day when a spring goes. It is not enough to run a call centre, and we would rather it stayed that way.
Seven Things We Commit To
Nobody hires a garage door company because its website called itself the best. Here is what we will actually do.
- You see the price before we start
The technician diagnoses the fault, explains what it needs and quotes it. Nothing gets touched until you have agreed to the number.
- The service call fee comes off the bill
Diagnosing a fault means sending a van, so a service call fee applies. Go ahead with the repair and it is waived.
- Common parts ride on the van
Springs, cables, rollers, bearings and opener parts are stocked on every truck. Most jobs finish on the first visit instead of turning into two appointments.
- Doors are held in stock, not ordered in
We keep 8×7 and 16×7 doors — the two sizes most Ontario homes use — so a replacement takes days, not the six weeks an ordered-in door needs.
- Up to a five-year warranty on hardware we replace
Springs, cables, rollers and opener parts we fit are covered. The length depends on the part, and the technician tells you which applies before fitting it.
- Ten percent off for seniors and essential workers
On any repair or installation. Mention it when you book and we will confirm eligibility.
- Our crews are WSIB covered
Every technician is covered under Ontario's Workplace Safety and Insurance Board. If someone is hurt on your property, that is our liability and not yours.
Where You Can Verify Us
None of this is us describing ourselves. Each one is something you can go and check.
WSIB coverage
Ontario's Workplace Safety and Insurance Board covers our technicians. Ask any contractor for their WSIB clearance certificate before they work on your property — a legitimate one will hand it over without hesitating.
ThreeBestRated, eight years running
ThreeBestRated lists three garage door companies per city and re-runs a 50-point inspection every year — reviews, reputation, history, complaints, pricing and business details. We have held a Richmond Hill listing for eight years.
See the Richmond Hill listing →220+ Google reviews, two profiles
Each shop keeps its own Google Business Profile with its own reviews. We would rather you read them before calling than after.
Richmond Hill → Barrie →HomeStars
An independent Canadian directory where homeowners review contractors. Reviews there are tied to real jobs, not posted anonymously.
See our HomeStars page →Financeit payment plans
Monthly payment options on new door installations run through Financeit, a Canadian consumer lender. They set and disclose the rates and terms, not us, and applying does not book any work.
Apply through Financeit →CommunityVotes Richmond Hill 2026
An official nominee in the 2026 CommunityVotes awards for Richmond Hill — a local programme where residents nominate and vote for the businesses they use.

Separate from WSIB, and it covers damage to your property; WSIB covers injury to our crew. Ask for the certificate before any contractor starts — ours is available on request, and a company that hesitates is telling you something.
Open seven days, 7:30 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.
Both lines, every day including weekends, with no evening or weekend surcharge. We are not a 24-hour operation and do not claim to be — after 10:30 p.m. you will reach voicemail and we will call back in the morning.
Every badge above links to the organisation that issued it, not to a page we control. Click them.
What We Do, and What We Don't
Everything our vans are equipped for, and the one thing they are not.
Residential garage doors
- Broken torsion and extension springs
- Snapped or frayed cables
- Worn rollers, bearings and hinges
- Doors off track or out of alignment
- Opener repair and replacement — LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Craftsman
- Panel replacement and damaged sections
- Seasonal tune-ups and safety checks
- Full door replacement and new installation
- Aluminum capping on door frames
What we don't do: industrial doors and dock equipment are outside what we work on. If that is what you need we will say so on the phone, not send a van and work it out in your driveway.
